I've finally met a man who makes my heart feel complete.
How a Prince and Princess Fell In Love...
I joined BlackSingles.com in May of 2008, as did Derrick. We were both on the site for approximately three weeks when Cupid's arrow struck us. Derrick had sent me a smile at first, then he sent me an e-mail. When I noticed that he lived in Washington, DC and I lived in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, I was afraid that there would be too many miles between us to really spark a relationship, but I was wrong. I e-mailed Derrick and asked him if he thought that Philadelphia and Washington were too far apart, but to my surprise, he said that "love knows no distance." I had to stop and think, because I had never heard a more true statement. Well, after thinking about this statement, my mind headed in a different direction and it made me see that Derrick was a man who knew what he wanted and was going after it, which is the kind of man I was looking for. So, I asked him to send me a picture. When I saw his picture, I definitely liked what I saw. At first when he wanted to talk to me, the "shy bug" had taken me over and I declined talking to him. But when he requested to speak to me a second time, I couldn't deny him. That night we talked to each other on-line for three hours. It was like we had known each other all of our lives. By 11:30 p.m. I realized that I had to get off-line because we both had to go to work the next morning. But our connection was so strong, that after I got off-line, I called him on the phone and we spent another hour talking to each other. From the time we met, we were inseparable. Everyday we were either on the computer or talking on the phone. We talked about everything under the sun and the conversations were getting longer. Talking to him, I learned that we had a lot in common. I had gotten to the point where just talking to Derrick would make my heart melt. This made me realize that I had found my Prince Charming.
Derrick wanted us to meet in person right away, but I wanted to take a little more time to get to know him better. By the time we set a date to meet, we were already bonded by heart strings. Being that I was going on vacation soon, we set a date for him to come to Philadelphia on June 4th. When Derrick got off the train and came up the steps, I was even happier with the man who was standing in front of me than I was with the picture. While he was visiting with me, I just wanted time to stand still. Derrick is a very compassionate, thoughtful and caring man. We had such a good time together. When he left Philadelphia, I knew that this was the man for me and that I never wanted to let him go.
At first I was a little hesitant about joining BlackSingles.com, but now I am so glad that I did. I've finally met a man who makes me happy and makes my heart feel complete. Thanks BlackSingles.com for helping to bring us together.

I knew in my heart when I first saw him that he was the one
It is such a pleasure to inform you of the love connection between myself (Giavanni) and the love of my life (luckycharm_1957). We met on BlackSingles recently and connected immediately. Just when I was about to give up my search on BlackSingles, I read the profile of luckycharm_1957 which prompted me to contact him. What a blessing it was! I instant messaged him and he responded. After chatting, we set a date to meet. I knew in my heart when I first saw him that he was the one for me. It was so amazing how much we had in common. Not to mention, luckycharm_1957 was about to give up his search also until I contacted him, now that is really having something in common (smile). It feels so good to have that special person in my life. We thank you BlackSingles. May you continue to bring couples together on this wonderful site.

I Will Never Forget Friday, June 13, 2008...
I was quickly viewing some profiles on June 13, 2008. All of a sudden I realized that one profile really stood out from the others. I glanced at his photos and continued to read how he described the things that he enjoyed doing on his spare time. I thought, wow this guy definitely sounds very interesting. I tried to IM him, but was unsuccessful at first. A few minutes later he instant messaged me and that's when we began to converse with each other. We decided to exchange email addresses and then we continued to get to know each other via instant messengers - personal accounts. We communicated up until the day we met, which was Sunday, June 15, 2008. We met at a mini mall in Brooklyn, NY. When our eyes met, I felt sparks right away. He liked how I looked and I liked the way he smiled at me. I knew that he was the one for me. He invited me to go to his uncle's barbecue on the same day of our meeting. I agreed to go because I had the chance to meet his grandmother and some of his uncles and friends. I already feel like I am a part of his family. Everyone is so wonderful and I am living a stress free life right about now. He recently told me that everything is going in the right direction for him now that he met me. He also said he's living a stress free life. We will keep you informed about our plans for the future.

The rest is history!
He sent me a smile about three times and I responded with only a thank you for the smiles. Then one day, he instant messaged me and I told him straight out that I wasn't really interested in him because he was younger, but we met anyway and the rest is history. We are currently in a committed relationship now.

I have found my very best friend...
I have found my very best friend on your website. We chatted online for several weeks before actually meeting in person. Once we met in person, it was like we had known each other for years. My user name is tlady2 and his user name is kingspontaneous1. We are best friends. We look forward to such a long time spent with each other. Thank you Blacksingles, for making it all possible. My King, is just that; A King. He has come into my life and made it worth living again. I couldn't have asked for more.
Since he has come into my life, I have not stopped smiling. He has given not only to me, but also so much to my children. I'm not sure what the future holds for us, but I do know that I will continue to cherish every moment God has given us. Not a day goes by that he does not make me feel special. I haven't felt that way in years. I have fallen in love with my best friend and so has he. Thank you Tasha and Blacksingles, for making it possible. Thank you so much!
